Volumen 2 is the second studio album by Argentinian rock icons Pappo’s Blues, originally released in November 1972.
On this album guitarist Norberto “Pappo” Napolitano established a style with influences of hard rock, blues rock and acid rock, adapting the power trio scheme inaugurated by Cream and Jimi Hendrix Experience to an urban sensibility that integrated naturally into rock of the early 70s. Featuring eight songs all composed by Pappo with each track showing the genius of him as a composer, performer and guitarist, filled with memorable riffs and solos, as well as a lyrical sensitivity that reflects his image as a Buenos Aires’ guitar hero.
