Description
The record as a medium of art – second part of the groundbreaking collection of works from seven decades.
Based on Ursula Block’s groundbreaking exhibition “Broken Music. Artistsʾ Recordworks” (1989), the record edition sheds light on the development of the record as a medium of art from the post-war period to the present day. The second part establishes links to the field of music in composition and improvisation, pop, punk and club. The panorama has been expanded with sound works from the Nationalgalerie’s collection, including media works and sound installations.
